Dune Awakening Aren’s Light Armor Guide – Early Gear

Starting in Dune Awakening with little more than a basic armor set, you’ll quickly need better gear to survive the dangers of Arrakis. One of the strongest early options is the Aren’s Light Armor, a unique set you can obtain very early in Hagga Basin South, right next to the Wreck of the Alcyon. This landmark is a large shipwreck visible from the starting area, so you can head straight to it after the tutorial. Before setting out, craft a Maula Pistol – the area is guarded by enemies, and you’ll need a reliable ranged weapon to take them out from a distance. The camp at the base of the outcrop houses several armed foes; picking them off with the Maula Pistol before they can close in makes the encounter manageable.

Finding the Chest

Once you’ve cleared the enemy camp, look to its right for scratch marks etched into the rock – these mark the safest climbing route to the top. Follow the marks carefully to avoid slipping. At the summit, you’ll find a crashed Ornithopter. You can salvage it with your Cutteray for additional resources, but the real prize is a large chest tucked under a tarp beside the vehicle. Opening this chest yields one piece of the Aren’s Light Armor set and some Spice-Infused Copper Dust, which you’ll need at a workbench to craft the armor pieces.

Farming the Full Set

Aren’s Light Armor has five pieces, but each chest opening gives you only one. The chest respawns every 45 minutes, so you can return repeatedly and collect all pieces within a day. There’s no need to defeat a boss or complete a quest chain – just clear the camp, climb up, loot the chest, and wait for the timer.
